It is not clear what exactly initiated each fire or explosion. However, each of these incidents did mention that the accumulation of sawdust made the damages greater, since the fire was able to spread more rapidly throughout the building.
Many incidents were reported to have damages over $1 million with a few reaching up to $20 million.
